Pho 1 Vietnamese Restaurant in Allentown

I've traveled all around the country and this is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. The restaurant is clean and can accommodate larger groups. The owner and waitstaff are very friendly. And the food is very flavorful. They have a lot of options on the menu from pho, vermicelli bowls, banh mi sandwiches to fried rice dishes. They also have Vietnamese coffee, salted lemonade, and bubble drink options. My group of 6 was seated imediately at dinner time on a Sunday. We started with egg rolls which were crispy and came with a tasty sauce. We then ordered Vegetable Pho, chicken Pho, steak/brisket pho, Pho #1 Special Bun (vermicelli bowl), and chicken fried rice & egg. All of the entree's were plenty and delicious! We did not have any leftovers because we all enjoyed our dishes, including the kids. We enjoyed it so much we went back again that same week. You will not be disappointed with this place.

The food was really good. I had a pork banh mi. Tasty! But the waiter and owner really sold me on this place. Super friendly. I'll be back.

Clean restaurant. Generally inexpensive but portions seemed a bit small. Pho, grilled pork and sandwich were all good. Thai tea tasted pretty bad though. I think it had too much milk in it. Friendly and attentive staff. Plenty of parking available.

Restaurant has extensive Vietnamese menu, lots of specialty drinks and ice-cream roll options. It has a lots of room which makes it perfect for both casual neighborhood foodies and spontaneous travelers. It's reasonably close to the highway (i81) and also within convenient drive from Hershey attractions as well from Harrisburg Downtown. While there are quite a few new Vietnamese restaurants had opened in the area within next couple of years, this one by far has the best location, size of the dining room, and friendly hands-on owner, who would personally welcome you and would likely remember you on your next visit. We frequent this establishment every 1-2 weeks.

We had a variety of dishes and everything was very delicious, generous portions, and tastes authentic!Restaurant is clean, decorated nicely and a big space. We will come back again!! 🌟

The pho broth is excellent - great flavor and very fresh ingredients.

Easily my favorite Pho location in Harrisburg. Not only is the food incredible with generous portion sizes for the price, but the staff is some of the friendliest, most knowledgable, and understanding of many restaurants I've visited. I come back here often and it's always a fantastic experience (also great for takeout). Thanks for the great stuff! Highly recommend.

I have had Pho many times before and my meal here was by far the best! David was extremely friendly, our food was out fast and you could tell whoever cooked it took the time to make sure the food looked as good as it tasted. The restaurant was clean and had a nice quiet feel.I would recommend Pho #1 to anyone who is reading this review.

Food quality is fantastic, especially for central PA, and portion sizes appropriate. Owners are extremely nice to customers and may remember you if you dine frequently. I've tried many dishes from the menu, all excellent. Food comes from kitchen in prompt times. I've also compared this restaurant with 2 other Vietnamese restaurants in the greater Harrisburg area, and I find it to be superior. Restaurant is spacious and clean. Bathrooms are clean. Parking is a bit confusing even though there's plenty of it, as is finding the restaurant. It's entrance is in the upper level open air cross-space across from or behind Arooga's depending on how you're looking at the building. Restaurant location is the only drawback, it's just a quirky spot. Nice to be away from the main parts of jonestown road traffic, however.

This place has absolutely the best Vietnamese food in my life!!! 👍👍👍It was a extensive menu of all kinds Vietnamese food. The thing I surprised is they have the Vietnamese sandwich as well!!! That’s so fantastic ! The noodle soup was delicious! I’ll say the soups are even much better than I had in New York City. The owner was absolutely friendly and I had the best service! We are in the trip so we got no time to try the rolling ice cream which looks fancy! But I took the Vietnamese yogurt with me which is amazing!!! 💕💕💕 thanks for everything from the owner!!! This restaurant deserve to have 5 🌟 friendly staff specially the owner. Excellent food! So 😋 yummy. Good prices i love this pho here in town. I highly recommended this restaurant.

Stopped by Pho#1 to try something new. Walked in and was immediately met by an incredible smell coming from the kitchen. Front counter staff was very friendly and welcoming and happy to answer any questions. My fiance and I both got an order of Pho to go. The food was nothing short of great. The broth was full of flavor, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh and like they had been picked from a garden that morning. Glad I stopped in to try this place. Will definitely be back.

New summer of 2018 and a great find! Authentic Vietnamese food. You can taste the fresh herbs and vegetables. Their Pho broth is great if you aren't feeling well, and they deliver through DoorDash. The owner David takes the time to talk to everyone and is very pleasant. Highly recommend!

Great Pho soup! My wife and I both agree, absolutely delicious! Also, the spring rolls are maybe the best I've ever had (sorry, I'm trying to not exaggerate, but they're really good!) The interior is welcoming, and staff is very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend, and will be a customer again!

Great place you should check out! They use only fresh ingredients, and definitely no MSG! Staff was all really friendly and I would recommend them to anyone looking for real authentic Vietnamese cuisine and Pho!

Always a good meal at this place j come here once or twice a week since I work 3 minutes away. The staff is always friendly and the food is always really good. Prices are pretty much equal to Vietnamese places around this area

Best Pho in Harrisburg area and the rest of the menu is great too...and the owner David and his wife have become our friends, great service, great decor. If you have not eaten here, you must try it. Tell them Steve and Kathy sent you.

Service was great! Our waitress was very attentive. Only problem is, the Pho was bland and Thai tea was not great. I could not even taste the tea it (mainly milk and sugar). Also I do like the a strong flavor and I have never has Pho that has MSG. I am very conscious about what I eat. Nevertheless, I have had much better authentic PHO that does not contain MSG.

Good pho and the quail was delicious! Staff was super friendly and checked on each table multiple times to make sure they were set and the food was good.

We just ate lunch here and it was absolutely delicious!! My husband had the eye round pho and I had the vegetarian pho. The spring Roll appetizer with the peanut sauce was delicious to . Everything is super fresh, the Restaurant is very clean and the staff is very welcoming!

This is without a doubt my favorite vietnamese restaurant. The food is good, the place is clean, and the people are very friendly. I recently visited with an exchange student from Vietnam and she was very happy there because not only was it decorated with items from her home country, but was also playing a show from there as well on the television, which gave her that extra sense of home. It was much more authentic and welcoming to her than other local restaurants she had tried. She approved ;)

I've always been a meat and potatoes kinda guy. When my wife suggested we go for Vietnamese food I must admit I kinda turned up my nose along with the other 4 Lebanon County men (and one of their wives). WOW was I surprised. Not going to go into the choices we all made but to put it simply. Everyone was over the top with how delicious and satisfying everything was. We all needed help to our cars we were so full. Can't say enough good about this restaurant. From service to hospitality to the choices of delicious food one of my new favorite restaurants

We were greeted with friendly service and warm hospitality. I appreciated the limited but diverse menu. My sandwich was a nice portion and full of flavor. We are looking forward to our return visit.

The best pho I've had in the area. The staff was nice and friendly. The shrimp and pork spring rolls were tasty as well. The hot coffee with milk was perfect. Highly recommend this wonderful addition to the area. I look forward to trying more.

Love the broth and the bubble tea was spot on. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls are a great consistency- not to thick or too runny. Overall, the atmosphere is very good with friendly staff and prompt service.
